TSMC prizes Japan's chips skills after U.S. stumbles
The fact that only japan is deemed having a good enough work culture to host tsmc factories makes me very pessimistic about the future of chip making in europe..
Random thing I never thought about: Taiwan and the southern part of the Japanese archipelago are really close to the boundary between the Philippine/Eurasian plates, and I wonder how they go about insulating fabs from seismic noise
In Arizona they’d presumably compete with Intel for labor. Do they have any competition in this particular part of Japan?
