The Digital Economy Bill proves digital democracy doesn't work
I wrote a letter to my local MP about this. He responded today, after the bill had gone through. My concerns are noted, but ultimately mean nothing when the rights of the music industry and the millions of people it employs are at stake.
I give up. It's like a political steamroller. It doesn't matter how many people stand in front of it, there's no stopping it.
Sadly I learned this long ago.
The only thing I've seen make political change is some form of direct action. Waving banners does absolutely FUCK ALL unless it's for something for which they can throw you a bone.
