Peter Thiel, Trump Adviser, Has a Backup Country: New Zealand

  • Jim Rogers, no fan of living in the United States and with plenty of money to live anywhere he wants, said he'd never live in New Zealand because it's a very boring place. I give great weight to his opinion because he's done several round the world tours by land.

  • How he acquired citizen-ship is not as controversial as people are trying to make it out to be: a lot of his investments have been deemed charitable or for the public good, so special citizen-ship rules apply.

    What's more interesting is that NZ is a progressive welfare-state, i.e. significantly more left than even Obama (closer to Sanders)...not exactly a haven for a trump associate
