Though that company may have been working on such things already, and though Israel is an ally, American law enforcement using a foreign company of a nation that, for example, exports technology to China, to hack the iPhone in a manner that Cook and many others (even myself) would make its way to the public ... argh.

Worth noting: The leaked tools will only work on very old iOS devices, and everything (including PIN bruteforce) can already be done with open source tools such as those from iphone-dataprotection.
