Ask HN: What do professionals think of resumes online?

I run a Shanghai based professional services firm catering to the needs of individual job seekers across Asia, the US, Canada, and the UK. Primarily resume editing, LinkedIn Profile creation, interview coaching, a little mentoring. I am thinking about expanding my products beyond the standard .docx/pdf resume and LinkedIn Profile creation to a centralized resume presentation site. I have some mashup ideas from other sources about online posting and interested in HR/external recruiters/hiring managers thoughts. Separately any thoughts on job boards as a marketing technique (not profit driven focus). TIA
