Ask HN: Website Builder suggestions or recommendations
I am looking to build an extremely simple website that essentially will have email contact information and a name with some other brief 'about' type information.
I was considering squarespace or wix but was wondering if anyone had some better wisdom or experience they can share. I fear implementing a django or jekyll type solution and would prefer an easier route.

I'm Wordpress loyal devotee! I consider it to be the easiest CMS platform that doesn't require any technical knowledge. It can be effectively used by both newbies and professionals in web design. When I was new to the web design world, I downloaded a professionally designed theme and customized it according to this guide on how to create a website https://www.templatemonster.com/blog/create-website-2017-ult... . Highly intuitive process, I should admit.

I suggest that you go with WordPress as it's incredibly flexible. My first website was built with Wix and I was never pleased. It was extremely slow loading and non-user-friendly. Currently I've been working on my second website using one of these premium themes https://www.templatemonster.com/category/alternative-power-w... . It promises to be faster and more powerful.
