Ask HN: Can we please stop posting political links?

I respectfully submit that a) there are other places to post and discuss these (Wikileaks, etc.) type of stories, and b) I like to be in a hacking / startup / technology zone when I read this site.

I've flagged these stories but the moderation system doesn't seem to be getting rid of them.

    If you flagged them and they didn't get removed, that would suggest that you are in the minority when it comes to not wanting them posted and discussed.
