Ask HN: Hackathons

I am interested in going to a hackathon. Is there somewhere I could find a schedule or list of a few? Are there other notable ones besides the TC Disrupt? Ideally in the midwest area, but right now I just am curious to what kind of options exist. How many hackers here have been to one? Would you do it again, or do you prefer to give your products a less rushed attempt? Feel free to share any and all info, I'm just scoping the market here.
