What I think google wave lacked..

What I think google's wave lacked and why there is not so much phenomenal response for the protocol is that it takes away from the user the option of having the second thought on what he want to chat/submit. The real time transmission is infact a great idea, but its application in the chat client is limited for one reason that user might retract from what he is going to submit if he finds any logical/syntactical flaw. It also highlights how much time a user takes in submitting a message. IMHO wave cannot find a suitable application as a social client where one might want to be sure of what he is submitting. It also highlights the user's ability to comprehend with the other user he is chatting with. Wave would be better off in other scenarios where its features add up to user's advantage rather than take away the already present abilities.
