Best way to manage fonts on OSX?

Hi - I'm looking for a good way to manage fonts on OSX. I'll download a bunch of fonts while working on a project, but just using the font manager in Photoshop/Illustrator, I forget about the ones I liked. What I'd really love is an app that ran locally on my machine (OSX) to let me view the fonts I already have by tag, but then connected to a web database to provide the tags for each font (tagged by other app users), and let me preview other fonts available for purchase based on tags I entered. What's the closest thing you guys know to something like this (or is there really just not much)?
