Ask HN: What are you doing to prepare for the recovery?

We don't know when, but eventually we'll recover from this and now is the time to think about how to be prepared for this.

Personally I'm SE in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We were on a sort of economic crisis before the Covid-19 so we're in a tough position. Our currency (argentine peso) is being devaluated again against the US dollar so I'm earning (in dollars) less than half what I was earning several years ago for the same kind of work.

I've savings and some AI consulting projects on the horizon so I'm thinking about decreasing my regular job to the minimum hours as possible (4hs a day I guess) and think about the salary as "survival money".

With the rest of my time I'm improving my Deep Learning knowledge and practicing on some medical imaging problems (I have a possible consulting project on this topic). With the money I've in savings the idea is to wait a little more and then look for opportunities in Real Estate and businesses related to children education (my family has a k-5 school).
