An audible 40Hz being produced by a hummingbird is (almost) inconceivable, they need to make that plain. The harmonic and familiar 'hum' is evident to all ears. But the article quotes (I'm still reading the additional papers) the figure of 40Hz, plus its harmonics and overtones, throughout - so no hummingbird flapped faster or slower?
