Ask HN: How can I make VSCode faster?

I wish it wasn't built on electron, maybe one day they will release native version, it doesn't have to have latest features, it can update once a year and electron version can update monthly.

In meanwhile what can I do? Buy fastest ram? I've removed as many extensions I could.

    I switched to Sublime Text because I wanted something that felt faster than VS Code.
