Alienware R12 Cannot Be Shipped to California, CO, Hi, OR, VT or WA

  • https://processormatch.intel.com/Resources/Program%20for%20C... is a good description of the exact new standards required for computers in California. They came into effect this month. Interesting notes:

    - If you have a GTX 3070 Ti or better, you can skip the power requirements through the "High End Desktop" exemption that requires 600 GB/s of memory bandwidth (see slide 22). Note that no AMD consumer cards appear to meet this requirement.

    - Adding useless outdated ports can help you get more power options for your computer. Now is the time to whip out those useless USB 2.0 extension cards! See slide 19 for the details here.

    - You can also avoid the power requirements if you can somehow achieve 8GB or more of 632 GB/s system memory. Is this even feasible with standard consumer hardware?
