Here's daily rates in Dublin / London for development contractors (figures below are consistent with my experience, people I know and recruitment agencies):

* Dublin: 400-500 EUR/day = 570 - 715 USD/day * London: 400-600 GBP/day = 653 - 980 USD/day

How does this compare to contracting rates in major US cities?
