Ask HN: Would a cold laptop warm up faster on table or under blankets?

Would a cooled (32 F), off laptop reach room temperature (70 F) faster under the blankets of a bed or on a table?

The coefficient of heat of the blankets is higher than air but it would also insulate the cold of the laptop?

Thanks!

  • Little or No

we might use hot air gun more effectively, one that has temperature arranger

  • Under the blankets as the fluff would jam the fans slowly but surely.

  • While you wait for it to warm up you could perform some exercise.

  • Under the blanket if it is turned on, on the table otherwise.

  • You’re doing it wrong.
