What I learned as a PhD turned founder

  • Good thread. I got curious and checked the startup, I totally agree with the mission, Americans eat out way too much.

    But I'm not sure an app is going to change what seem to be cultural habits.

    At the end of the day, cooking is always going to be more effort than Uber eats or TV dinners. In other cultures there's a deep cultural, sometimes almost religious, value to having a home cooked meal with family, that counteracts this. Most Americans don't really care. That's a deep societal thing with a lot of causes.

    But interesting to see how it turns out.
