LibreOffice 7.4

  • Congratulations guys. I was pressed to use Office before 2010. But in parallel since 2002 I used StarOffice and actually I loved it. I then moved to OpenOffice where I started writing the 80% of my PhD (the rest was Latex) and somewhere in the process I moved to Libreoffice.

I use the last 10 years extensively Calc for quick crunching statistical data and the last 6 years I usually copy things from DBeaver to Calc for analysis (and sometimes CSV exports from SNAP). I also use Draw to draw things for presentations or Medium. And of course Impress for the company presentations.

    Love it.

  • i've been using openoffice and then libreoffice since time immemorial. it has certainly improved quite a lot and nowadays, i use it exclusively.

beyond macros and powerquery features, it is most definitely a good office alternative.

i know...i know.. the documents dont look as they on office but that is the thing, an office 2020 word file wont look same on word 2013 so that issue is same with office....

beyond that, there are long standing issues that have been fixed, filter by color for example,
