I've chosen a different title because the original "The Most Important Thing of Smartphone CPU That You Don’t Know!" really does not describe the content and is so clickbaity. This is not strictly according to HN guidelines but maybe a wortwhile exception here? I struggled a bit with this one.

As for the video, it's a pretty interesting analysis imho that I haven't seen done this comprehensively before. It shows that several times successor chips actually were downgrades in efficiency, even when using a new fab node. It also shows how much of a difference there is between TSMC and Samsung fabs for the same cores.
