Ask HN: Career Advice for Someone at Meta?

I joined FB about 5 months ago at NYC office infra team. I've been somewhat ok but struggling. I was hoping to tap into crowd's wisdom. Also PSC is coming and I've nothing to show for it.

    I had to google quite a bit to find out what PSC means: Performance Summary Cycle

    Without specifics, you have 4 outcomes:

    1. everything turns rosy and you're happy - stay

    2. you get put on a performance improvement plan (or whatever Meta HR calls it) and you are Ok with it and improve - stay.

    3. you bomb the PIP and are shown the door - shuffle off :-( or :-)

    4. It's all too hard and you bail.

    BTW the above applies pretty much everywhere. Believe it or not, Meta only exists to make the shareholders and top executives even richer.
