IKEA issues cease and desist against indie developer
The game is based on SCP-3008, the infinite IKEA store

> SCP-3008-1 is a space resembling the inside of an IKEA furniture store, extending far beyond the limits of what could physically be contained within the dimensions of the retail unit.
Beautiful. The Streisand effect will hopefully cause this game to become even more popular.
I just learned that this game exists, and went on to back it immediately.
This seems to very clearly fall under the umbrella of fair use for purposes of parody. I hope some entity steps up and offers them pro-bono legal services.
If these lawyers wanted to go after the devs the only leg they could possibly stand on under US law would be trademark tarnishment[1].
In any case it could possibly be defended as parody, but only if the fact that the developer didn't use the IKEA name doesn't end the lawsuit sooner - which however would make it a really obvious parody.

Oh dear, what is IKEA trying to hide....
