• > something very strange about people writing bullet points, having ChatGPT expand it to a polite email, sending it, and the sender using ChatGPT to condense it into the key bullet points

This doesn’t suggest he’s reading your chats. We don’t even know if people actually use ChatGPT like this or he just thinks they do

Expect anything you say to GPT to be collected and used by OpenAI, and keep in mind that it could be read alongside your email address by OpenAI employees or government officials who request the data. But we don’t have evidence the latter is happening, and there are so many chats it’s most likely nobody notices or cares about what you’re saying.

  • Why did the ML model get a job as a psychic?

Because it was great at predicting text messages!

  • I saw this joke somewhere else bud, your obligatory hn conspiracy paranoia is showing

  • This is clickbait. The title is not remotely supported by the content of the tweet.

I agree with Altman here - personally I think it's insulting to get sent a bunch of pointless extra words. Whether they come from chatgpt is irrelevant. Send me the prompt or the bullet points if you want to respect my time. Or write good sentences that convey your ideas clearly.
