DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join us on our mission to make online payments amazing. We see this position as an engineering role - you will be working closely with the other engineers to build tools and processes to manage our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Managing and improving our existing infrastructure, using tools such as Chef to automate as much as possible.

- Building tools for automating our testing and deployment processes. - Setting up monitoring and alerting systems that ensure that any issues in our production environment are resolved as quickly as possible. - Working closely with the development team to ensure that the application is interacting effectively with the infrastructure it runs on.

Requirements:

- Professional experience of Linux systems administration

- Excellent knowledge of programming and shell scripting. Ruby would be a huge advantage.

- Configuration management (Chef or Puppet) experience

- Able to work in London full-time.

- Competent English speaker, good written and spoken communication skills.

- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Rackspace cloud.

Bonus points for:

- Computer Science degree

- Strong knowledge of databases; PostgreSQL or MySQL, Mongo & Redis

- An interest in the startup community

- Any experience of Windows systems administration (don't worry - Windows only plays an extremely minor role in our stack!)

- Salary is dependent on experience & ability. Stock options will be part of the compensation package.
