Elon Musk Executed His Takeover of the Federal Bureaucracy

Mr. Musk’s strategy has been twofold. His team grabbed control of the government’s human resources agency, the Office of Personnel Management, commandeering email systems to pressure civil servants to quit so he could cull the work force. And it burrowed into computer systems across the bureaucracy, tracing how money was flowing so the administration could choke it off.

  • The automatic removal of the word "how" from submission titles needs to be removed. The original title is better and more indicative of the content of the article.

  • Elon Musk is as manipulative as he is smart. In public appearances he uses his 4-yo son as a prop to soften his image. And the way he broke down resistance from members in the Trump cabinet is classic. At the first Trump cabinet meeting he appeared dressed in a t-shirt with "Tech Support" written on it big letters.

And when he started speaking this is what he said: "I actually just call myself public tech support here (opens his blazer to reveal his t-shirt with "Tech Support" written on it) because this is actually... as crazy as it sounds, that's almost a literal description of the work that the Doge team is doing is helping fix the government computer systems. Many of these systems are extremely old. They don't communicate. There are a lot of mistakes in the systems. The software doesn't work. Umm... so we are actually tech support. It's ironic but it's true."

When he lowers himself to "Tech Support" the people in the room can't refuse. The smartest techie in the world is offering to fix their broken systems!

If the system doesn't work as Elon claims, you don't want Elon to fix it because he is using this as a backdoor to gain entry into the system and then manipulate it in ways that he is not fully disclosing.

Any system maintenance must be done by qualified individuals who are background-checked and trained and are part of the organization, and properly supervised, instead of 19-year-olds who no one knows what they are doing and how long they are there for.

It is clear that Elon Musk is using "Tech Support" as a Trojan horse.
