    I used to root for Tesla. I thought their success would lead us away from petroleum.

    Now that their CEO put hundreds of millions into the "drill baby drill" party and has set about destroying NOAA (and higher education, freedom of the press, a non-partisan civil service, and so forth) I check their stock several times a day to get a little shot of schadenfreude.

    We live in one of the stupider timelines.
