Ask HN: Keeping yourself organized, hourly or task based?

This is my second question in order to figure out how my hacker friends keep themselves organized.

How do you manage your tasks? Do you plan them in first place? If yes then what kind of method is more useful

Planning based on smaller time chunks e.g. Reading "Black Swan" from 2pm to 3pm OR just Read chapter 3 from Black swan?

For a lazy bum like me keeping track of every hour helps more.
